Production and delivery

1. Project Preparation (Requirement Evaluation)

  1. The customer submits a requirement document covering electrical parameters, load conditions, environmental rating, safety certification, target cost, estimated annual quantity, target market and sample schedule. Drawings or samples are provided after an NDA is signed.
  2. The engineering, quality, tooling and procurement teams jointly conduct an internal feasibility review. The output covers feasibility, required modifications, tooling cost, development cycle, minimum order quantity and risks.
  3. The commercial quotation covers tooling fees, sample fees, tiered unit pricing and certification cost sharing, and a project proposal is issued.

2. Development and Sampling Stage (EVT-DVT)

  1. For ODM projects, the coil, contacts, pins and marking may be modified on the basis of a mature model, or the structure may be redesigned according to special customer requirements. For OEM projects, plastic molds, spring stamping dies and production fixtures are made.
  2. The process moves from a T1 prototype to a T2 engineering sample. Complete electrical, environmental and life tests are conducted internally, and customer samples and an internal test report are delivered.
  3. The customer tests the relay in the complete product, provides feedback and receives revised samples until the sample is sealed. Both parties sign and confirm the sealed sample and specification.

3. PVT Pilot Production (Mass-Production Introduction)

  1. A small pilot lot is produced using formal molds, formal production-line tooling and SOP process documents.
  2. The PPAP package includes an FAI full-dimensional report, CPK, material BOM, reliability report and inspection specification. Automotive customers require PPAP approval.
  3. All pilot-production issues are closed, the design is frozen and the ECN change process is formally activated.

4. Mass Production and Delivery

  1. The customer pays the deposit and formally places the mass-production order.
  2. The factory schedules production and executes the complete QC process.
  3. The customer may arrange third-party inspection before shipment. Shipment is made after the balance is paid.
  4. A dedicated material code is created for direct repeat orders.

QC Quality Control Process

Quality checks across materials, processes, performance, and shipment.

1

IQC Incoming Inspection

Coils, contact silver alloys, plastic parts, springs and magnetic steel are inspected and accepted. Critical materials are sampled according to AQL. Contact alloy composition is sampled, and nonconforming materials are immediately isolated and returned.

2

IPQC Process Inspection

Stamping, injection molding, winding, assembly and contact-welding stations are inspected. Tooling, fixtures and parameters are checked. The first article is confirmed by FAI, inspection records are made every two hours and the line is stopped immediately when an abnormality occurs.

3

Semi-Finished Product Testing

Coil resistance, operate and release voltage, contact resistance and insulation withstand voltage undergo 100% electrical testing. Defective products are automatically removed.

4

FQC Finished-Product Inspection

Appearance, marking and dimensions are inspected, and electrical performance is retested. Batch sampling covers reliability tests including high and low temperature, vibration, salt spray, electrical life and overload.

5

OQC Outgoing Inspection

The product is checked against the sealed sample. Batch, label and packaging are verified. A factory inspection report is issued, shipment follows AQL and a batch traceability code can be provided.

6

After-Sales Quality Closure

Customer complaints are handled with an 8D report, failure analysis, material traceability and implementation of corrective actions.

Customized products: The customer may provide dedicated inspection standards for inclusion in the quality agreement.

Wholesale and ODM / OEM Commercial Terms

Commercial terms for standard models, platform changes, and new tooling.

1. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)

  • Standard stock models: full master pack quantity, starting from hundreds to thousands of pieces.
  • ODM modifications: MOQ of 10,000-50,000 pieces, depending on the extent of modification.
  • OEM new-tooling projects: starting from 50,000 pieces, subject to a minimum annual order quantity based on product requirements.

2. Pricing, Lead Time and Changes

  • Tiered quotations are provided, with better pricing for larger quantities. Quotations are generally valid for 30 days.
  • ECN engineering changes: any specification change must be confirmed in writing. Verbal changes are not permitted.
  • Lead time is affected by materials and tooling capacity. Advance warning is provided for delays.

3. Certification Terms

  • TUV, CE, UL, CQC and other certifications are available for standard factory models.
  • If a customized modification changes safety-related parameters, recertification is required and the certification cost is borne by the customer.

4. Warranty

  • Conventional relays have a warranty of one to two years.
  • Automotive and new-energy models are covered according to the agreement.
  • The warranty applies only to material and manufacturing defects and does not cover overload or misuse in the customer's complete product.

Main Product Lines

Relay platforms available for application-specific development.

Product line Product description Applications

High-Voltage DC Relays (New Energy) High-voltage DC relays Charging piles, energy-storage PACKs and new-energy vehicle main circuits

Order Acceptance Guidelines

Rejected Order Types and Project Entry Requirements

1. Rejected Order Types

  1. Small-quantity, new-tooling OEM orders without an estimated volume: new molds are not opened when the MOQ is not met and there is no minimum annual commitment. Only ODM modifications based on an existing platform are accepted.
  2. Requests to reduce safety specifications, remove safety certification or downgrade contact materials by using inferior alloys for high-load applications are rejected.
  3. Orders are rejected when the customer's specification has a fundamental design defect and is technically infeasible, such as requiring a conventional electromagnetic relay to interrupt 800 VDC.
  4. Projects involving unlimited repeated free sample modifications during the sample-development stage without progressing to a mass-production order are not accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for planning a custom relay program.

What information should a customer submit before an OEM or ODM relay project begins?

The customer should submit electrical parameters, load conditions, environmental rating, required safety certification, target cost, estimated annual quantity, target market and sample schedule. Drawings or samples are provided after an NDA is signed.

What happens during the EVT and DVT sample-development stage?

ODM work may modify the coil, contacts, pins and marking of a mature model or redesign the structure for special requirements. OEM work may include plastic molds, spring stamping dies and production fixtures. T1 prototypes and T2 engineering samples are tested, followed by customer equipment testing and sample iterations until the sealed sample and specification are signed.

What information is included in the PVT and PPAP package?

Pilot production uses formal molds, production-line tooling and SOP process documents. The PPAP package includes an FAI full-dimensional report, CPK, material BOM, reliability report and inspection specification. Automotive customers require PPAP approval.

What are the minimum order quantities for standard, ODM and OEM relay orders?

Standard stock models start from a full master pack, usually hundreds to thousands of pieces. ODM modifications require a minimum order quantity of 10,000 to 50,000 pieces depending on the modification. New-tooling OEM projects start from 50,000 pieces and depend on the annual order commitment and product requirements.

How are after-sales quality issues handled?

After-sales quality service includes receiving failure feedback, failure analysis, an 8D complaint report, material traceability and implementation of corrective actions. Support also includes complete-equipment reliability verification, end-of-life notification and assistance with safety certification documents.
